Modifiers are "non-destructive". Meaning they don't change your original mesh. The idea is to have everything well preserved and adjustable.
If you want to "edit the result", then you need to "apply" the modifier. This will clear the modifier and make it "become a change" in the mesh (this is a destructive edit - once you do it, there is no way back unless by "undo").
After you apply, you enter edit mode, press P so you separate this object into many objects. You will separate "by loose parts".

$\begingroup$ @DavidIfeoluwaPraiseEbi-Fred Just be aware that when you Separate > By Loose Parts it will make every loose part a single object, so when your original object already was consisting of multiple unconnected parts, all of them (and all their duplicates) will become separate individual objects. $\endgroup$Gordon Brinkmann– Gordon Brinkmann2025-08-19 05:52:41 +00:00Commented Aug 19 at 5:52
