I am rending an animation which have Depth and Vector pass for compositing depth of field and motion blur in After Effect. However, After Effect pops an error. Those file output node images are also with 0 KB.

I think I may have set something wrong with the exr images or it could be the problem of After Effect until I manually save the exr image and import to After Effect. It is successfully imported with all the passes but it would be a nightmare to save every image by myself.

Are there any solution to this? Thank you.:)

Here are the file format setting of the manually saved one (left) and the file output node (right): enter image description here

If you want to generate a single Multilayer image sequence, you should use one Output node only, and add as many inputs to it as you need, renaming them accordingly.

When rendering a single image, the Rendering format properties are used (or manually saving as, with its save options), while when rendering a sequence the File Output node gets the priority, and this is why the results are different.

It would not be the best solution but it may solve the problem.

Always put multilayer EXR output format in one node which separate from other format. Put each multilayer EXR in single node is fine too, just do not put it with other output format.

Untick Use Node Format would lead to an empty multilayer EXR which does not contain any channel. The best way is to only use the setting in Path when you want to export multilayer EXR with File Output node.
