I have "Eclipse IDE for Java Developers (includes Incubating components) Version: 2025-09 (4.37.0)". When I go to the Marketplace client, there is no "favorites" tab that shows my favorite plugins that are available within the Eclipse.org site.Eclipse Marketplace Client

I tried to "drag/drop" the icon into Eclipse, but nothing seems to happen.

I did see Bulk-install Eclipse plugins with marketplace URL but that is over 12 years old. I added my Eclipse.org favorit URL to the "Help > Install new software", but I get an error message that there is no software there (think plugins should count).Install New Software, but that did not work either.

How do I get the "Favorites" tab back within Eclipse Marketplace Client? I just wish to add most of my favorites into the new clean-install Eclipse as well as installing Eclipse on other machines, but they too are missing the "Favorites" tab.

It seems that the Favorites tab has been removed since the Eclipse User Storage Service which is required for that has been deprecated: github.com/eclipse-mpc/epp.mpc/pull/18 - As workaround, you could log in marketplace.eclipse.org, go to your account and drag the Install Favorites button on your Eclipse IDE. • I tried to "drag the Install Favorites button on your Eclipse IDE" and nothing happened. I tried to go to where the code is, but that just copied it there, without code, that spot didn't activate anything. Nor dragging onto any other area within Eclipse or within the Marketplace Client did anything. Commented Oct 20 at 13:15
